Roadworks underway on the M5 Westbound Upgrade

The M5 Westbound Upgrade is a major transport infrastructure project designed to improve traffic flow, road safety and motorway capacity between Moorebank Avenue and the Hume Highway. The project includes construction of a new three-lane bridge spanning the Georges River and adjacent rail corridor, additional motorway lanes, intersection upgrades and improved pedestrian and cycling infrastructure.

Conlon Contracting crews and plant operators are undertaking earthworks, road formation, drainage and utility works for the new westbound alignment and bridge approaches on the M5 project. The scope includes scheduled night works across designated construction zones, coordinated with the wider project team and multiple subcontractors.
